I'd actually go as far as to proclaim Ellie to be the greatest female character in gaming history, her characterisation was terrifically and immaculately handled, offering her a diverse array of personality, we as players sympathised for her, laughed with her and cared for her protection, whilst also recognising her courage and reliability in combat. Her and Joel's relationship was the single greatest experience of the year and marked a new milestone in video game storytelling...
